Test shoot on saturday was a success because;
- In Brick Lane we found lots of great walls with interesting graffti to use as backdrops for the running scenes.
- We found a perfect wide alley street to do the walking and dancing shots in. Aswell on that street there were some steps for the dancers to be sitting on which look like a backstage to a club.
- There were chairs/ sofas placed on the streets which we could film shots on.
- We found a converted Routemaster bus and we asked if we could do filming there for a school project and they said yes. It has been converted to restaurant cafe with sofas and chairs on the top of the bus.
- When in Brick Lane we found a vintage shop and we bought to sparkley boob tube tops.
- If we want to film down a more modernised street for contrast, there is a wide street which is empty early evening.
- The filming on the bus and tube was fine, the lighting was fine though filming on a tube was harder because the floor moved around a lot. If we were to film on the bus/ tube we would want an empty one.
- We set up Gee's sister room in some decorations to get an idea of what it would look like and the location worked. While filming we came up with some new shot ideas.
- We practised creating exagerrated and flamboyant make-up, this was successful though the animal make-up was not, white beard not a good idea.
- We tried experimenting with costumes.
Southall shopping, with my fab driving we managed to get there. We bought:
- 5 pieces of silky, shimmmery material in different shades.
- 5 sparkly skirts/ scarves in different shades.
- Some Bindi.
NB: The first couple of shots we filmed on the test shoot can not be seen properly due to a technical problem, so it is hard to make out what we shot.
