Inspirational video

Bloodhound Gang- Bad Touch

We as a group found this video very inspiring. The monkey costumes work really well to create a comical effect and as the band is wearing the same outfit it units them. The video is film outdoors on the streets of Paris and even though it is not a high budget music video it is successful in grabbing audience attention. The charisma and personality of the main singer makes the video successful; he is singing and dancing to the camera so as a viewer we feel involved as he is performing to us.

There is a narrative within this video of them collecting different types of people around Paris including some beautiful women and a dwarf and putting them into a cage. The dancing throughout the video and at the end is simple and not complicated but humorous and entertaining to watch. This something which we could easily do in our video. The lyrics of this video are at times rude but overall funny and this matches the imagery of the video (the actions of the band).

From this video we have been inspired to use costumes and simple dance moves in our video. This video also demonstrated how important the choice of band members are because they need to be able to act and perform in the video. This video is quite simple compared to others but it shows that simplicity can be effective.
